About CaVSA Hammersmith & Fulham
CaVSA's mission is to promote and strengthen the voluntary and community sector in Hammersmith & Fulham in all its diversity by working both strategically for and directly with local groups in all their forms, from individuals to local branches of national organisations.
CaVSA aims to benefit the voluntary and community sector in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham by supporting them directly and linking them to each other and to other sectors by:
- Providing advice and support to individual organisations, both emerging groups and those that are more established. This includes one-to-one support, surgeries and training and networking opportunities in different parts of the borough.
- Advising on a range of topics including organisational structures, governance documents (constitutions or memorandum and articles of association), funding, financial and accounting procedures, planning and evaluation, restructuring and appointing staff and trustees to name a few
- Bringing voluntary and community organisations together
to work together or address their own issues, work with partners in other sectors, influence local decision making, participate in training opportunities
- Providing a range of information resources including, a quarterly newsletter (CAVSA Voice), e-bulletins, answering individual enquiries, a library of publications for the sector, a resource section on this website and a range of information leaflets on key issues.
- Working strategically with other sectors to ensure that the voluntary and community organisations in the borough are supported and developed sustainably in a way that benefits the local community.
