CaVSA provide two specific forums for supporting the infrastructure of groups, the Management Committee forum and the Treasurers Forum
A group came to CaVSA recently because they had been told that they needed to produce a budget forecast to accompany their grant application. The group were bemused as to what this actually meant, what it involved and where they needed to start.

The forum is open to existing or potential management committee members/trustees from all voluntary and community organisations in Hammersmith & Fulham. It offers an opportunity for Management Committee members to meet others in their sector and chat about common issues.
The forum addresses issues around roles and responsibilities of management committee members. There are regular presentations on a variety of topics that keep members up to date on laws or practises that affect them. These include legal matters such charity, company and employment laws to other issues such as recruitment of MC members, conflict resolution, good practise or funding.
Management Committee members have ultimate responsibility for the organisations they manage. The forum therefore offers an opportunity to learn and keep up to date with matters that affect management committee members as well as network and exchange ideas with colleagues from the sector.
