Read More about YinkaYinka joined CaVSA’s team in February this 2009. Yinka has enjoyed working in the education and voluntary sectors for 13 years. She has taught children and adults in England and abroad. At the Resource Unit for Supplementary & Mother Tongue Schools, and the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education, Yinka’s work with supplementary schools involved capacity building, training, developing the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools and editing the NRC’s Bulletin. At CaVSA she is now developing the Supplementary Schools Network in Hammersmith & Fulham.

Teresa joined CaVSA in June 2008. Teresa previously worked for Breakaway Holiday Project, London South, West Deaf Children’s Society, and Deaf Access Trust for whom she still runs a twice monthly drop in from 145 King Street. She has over 29 years of experience of working in the voluntary sector in this borough. Teresa is the Premises officer for CaVSA and has been involved in premises management development, for the last 18 months. This work has included working closely with the sector in locating office premises, responding to the local authority’s Third Sector Premises Strategy, identifying new resources, as well as supporting the Trustees at Palingswick House in managing the building.

Shani joins CaVSA after two years working with De Montfort University’s NLab, an innovation project working with small businesses and new media to increase social and economic benefit in the East Midlands. She was previously Director of CDS Training for Enterprise, a not-for-profit Registered Enterprise Agency based in Liverpool, and Project Manager of Braunstone Employment Project, based in Leicester. Both organizations helped to develop locally owned social enterprises and voluntary and community groups. Shani was also lead partner for IdeaSpark, which provided small business start-up and support for excluded groups, and set up Takeaway Training Club, an informal community learning project.

Horatio joined CaVSA in October 2002 as Forum Facilitator from Hackney Council and Connoisseur Carbooks Ltd. In his current position is largely responsible for facilitating the Regeneration, Emplyment & Environment Services and Community, Sport & Cultural Services networks.
Horatio has over 20 years experience working in the local government and private sectors in paid roles and as a volunteer within the voluntary sector, focusing mainly on education, social services and planning & environment.

Barbara joined CaVSA in June 2009. She has worked with the Third Sector since the early 90’s in the UK and overseas, from local community based organisations to international development charities, including partnership programmes with the statutory sector.
