Network Heads of Terms
Aims:
- To work for the benefit of residents in H&F
- To raise awareness of Third Sector Commissioning opportunities, and to promote joint working
- To increase Third Sector representation on the Borough Partnership (Local Strategic Partnership) and other Partnership Bodies
- To strengthen local Third Sector organisations influence by promoting effective networking and engagement
Membership:
- Membership based on formal registration and reviewed annually
- Open to groups and organisations (including branches of regional and national organisations) providing services in H&F
- Members commit to providing information about their services and organisations on an annual basis – via CaVSA and held confidentially
- Members commit to participate in activities of the Network
- Members are entitled to stand and vote for 3rd Sector representatives on LBHF decision making bodies as appropriate
- Members are entitled to receive information and support on issues relevant to their organisations and service users via the Networks and CaVSA
Membership Entitlement:
As a member you will be entitled to:
- Actively participate in Network events (meetings, training, working groups, consultations, H&F Third Sector Conference)
- Stand for election as Representative; vote at Third Sector Network elections
- Receive first-hand briefings and updates on local and national public policy developments that might affect your organisation and service users
- Opportunities to work in collaboration with other organisations, such as consortia building
- Ongoing support from CaVSA as your local infrastructure support organisation
- Outreach to increase membership that represents the diversity of the sector / launch of Third Sector Directory – CaVSA
- January 2010: next network meetings / sign-off networks Terms of Reference
- Election process of 6 new Third Sector Representatives to the Borough Partnership
- 25 March 2010: next BP meeting / theme: The Voluntary and Community Sector in Hammersmith and Fulham
